In Bengali, khoj means to search and khobor means news. Khojkhobor is what everyone in Raiganj does when they need something: ask around. Which shop has it, which doctor sits on Sunday, when the next bus leaves, who found a lost dog. KhojKhobor keeps those answers in one place, and the people who use them keep them right.
What you can do here
Find a place
Hospitals, schools, banks, bus stands with their bus times, and the town's shops. Call or get directions, and tap “Still right” when what it says is right.
Ask the town
Who repairs inverters, where to get a blouse stitched by Friday. Shops that do it are told, and people who know answer.
Know what's happening
Power cuts, blocked roads, lost and found, and calls for blood or help, while they matter. You choose what you're told about.
Call local shops
We check shops before they're listed. Call or WhatsApp them: the price, delivery and payment are between you and the shop.
Sell or find something
An old harmonium, a room to rent, guavas from the roof garden: people list things now and then, and message each other.
Why we built it
Raiganj runs on word of mouth, and that's the best thing about it. But word of mouth is slow when you need a pharmacy open at night or blood for a patient, and it doesn't reach someone who's new in town. Big apps are built for warehouses and couriers, not for the tailor down the lane or the timetable painted on the bus stand wall. KhojKhobor writes the town's word of mouth down, so it's there when you need it.

People keep it right
Anyone can add a place, its hours or a bus time. Others confirm it or say it's wrong, and what nobody has confirmed for a while counts for less.

We call every shop before it goes up. Reviews come only from people who contacted the shop here, and say so.
No middleman
KhojKhobor doesn't sell anything or take a cut. You deal with the shop or the person directly, and we never handle your money.
Helping counts
